Start with the guest list

A longer yacht is not automatically a venue for a larger wedding. Compare each vessel’s published day-guest limit and include children in the count. Discuss the people working at your event as well as invited guests; the operator must confirm the permitted total before you commit to suppliers.

Coordinate the ceremony and suppliers

Explain whether you want a ceremony aboard, a reception or a post-wedding cruise. Ask about access for an officiant, photographer or caterer, setup time, power requirements and approved decorations. Confirm each service separately. A charter inquiry does not establish that catering, flowers, entertainment or ceremony arrangements are included.

Leave breathing room in the schedule

Allow time for boarding, photographs and returning to the marina. Share any fixed dinner or transport reservations. The captain confirms the route and weather-dependent activities; ask how a change of conditions affects your plans. Before paying, get the departure location, supplier arrangements, complete price and applicable cancellation terms in writing.
