Check the port before planning the ride
Port Everglades serves Fort Lauderdale cruise departures; it is a different destination from PortMiami. Use the port named on your cruise documents and include the ship, cruise line and terminal if known. The correct terminal is more useful than a generic port address.
Follow your cruise line’s check-in and boarding instructions when choosing an arrival window. The official Port Everglades terminal information can help you identify the facility, but confirm the details for your sailing. Terminal and vehicle-access arrangements can change.
From FLL, MIA or your hotel
State the airport code clearly: FLL and MIA are different starting points. For a same-day flight connection, include the flight arrival, your boarding window and time needed for luggage and arrival formalities. The team can review a transport plan; a car reservation cannot guarantee that a late flight will connect with a sailing.
For a hotel or residence pickup, give the entrance address and the time you need to be at the port. List passengers and bags together. If a pharmacy, hotel or other stop is required, add it before the quote is agreed rather than treating it as part of a direct transfer.
After disembarkation
A ship’s scheduled arrival is not the time your party will necessarily be outside with its bags. Discuss the expected ready time, contact method and terminal meeting point. Keep the team informed of a delay so any waiting or revised pickup can be agreed.
For an onward flight, share the departure airport and flight time. If you have a long gap, request a separate quote for a hotel stop or hourly service. Port transfers are individually priced; the published two-hour chauffeur minimum is not a fixed cruise-transfer package.
