A one-way rental means collecting a car in one place and returning it somewhere else. It is a different arrangement from simply driving to another city and bringing the car back. Before building a trip around it, ask whether the exact vehicle and return location can be accommodated.

This guide does not promise one-way availability for Pugachev cars. The rental policies and a written vehicle-specific proposal determine what can be arranged.

Give two complete addresses

“Miami to Orlando” is not enough to organise a handover. Provide the pickup address, proposed return address, dates and times. Explain whether the destination is a hotel, airport, private residence or another meeting point.

Ask who receives the vehicle and how the return is acknowledged. Do not assume you can leave the keys at a hotel desk or airport parking facility because it is convenient. The agreed receiver and location need to be clear.

ItemWhat the proposal should establish
VehicleThe specific car approved for the arrangement
RoutePermitted travel area and any restrictions
Return addressExact handover point and contact
TimingAppointment time and process if plans change
Total costRental, mileage and any one-way or collection charge
CompletionCondition record, keys and return acknowledgement

Compare the whole journey

Price a one-way request against returning the car to the original location and continuing by another mode. Include the extra driving time, fuel, parking and any additional rental period. The cheaper daily rate may not produce the cheaper overall trip.

Do not infer a service fee from another company's website. The car's location after return and the collection arrangement can affect whether the request is practical and how it is priced.

Keep mileage and route permission separate

Having enough included miles does not automatically authorise every destination. Confirm the travel area and the mileage calculation independently. If the route changes after approval, contact the team before relying on the original proposal.

The mileage planning guide helps estimate the distance. For a long itinerary, include planned stops rather than using only the direct distance between cities.

Plan a handover that you can prove

At the agreed return point, keep the time, mileage, fuel or battery condition and acknowledgement together. Ask what to do if the receiver is delayed or the location becomes inaccessible. Avoid making a flight or train departure depend on an unconfirmed key-drop process.

If the desired one-way arrangement is unavailable, discuss a different car, a different return point or separate transport for the final leg. Browse the budget car section for current options, but obtain approval for the one-way plan before paying for onward arrangements that depend on it.
