  1. Confirm the actual marina first
  2. Count what guests are carrying
  3. Decide between transfers and an hourly arrangement
  4. Keep one organiser in contact

A yacht day starts before boarding and ends after everyone has left the marina. Coordinate the car and charter as two connected bookings: exact marina, meeting point, guest count, belongings, arrival time and return pickup. A charter confirmation alone does not establish a vehicle arrangement.

Use the yacht collection to confirm the boat and departure details, then give those details to the chauffeur team when requesting transport.

Confirm the actual marina first

Do not book a car to a general waterfront area or to the location shown in an old photograph. Ask for the current departure marina, address, entrance and meeting contact. If the boat's berth or departure point changes, send the new instructions to the transport team.

Keep the vehicle drop-off point separate from the boat's berth. The car may not be able to enter every marina area, and guests may need time to walk to the meeting point.

Count what guests are carrying

Beach bags, food, decorations or equipment can change the vehicle requirement. Tell the transport team about the complete load and confirm separately that those items are allowed aboard. A vehicle that fits the guests may not fit several large catering containers as well.

If suppliers deliver directly to the boat, give them their own approved delivery instructions. Do not assume the guest transfer includes collecting food or transporting staff unless that has been quoted.

Decide between transfers and an hourly arrangement

Two point-to-point transfers may suit a straightforward hotel-to-marina day. An hourly chauffeur booking may be worth discussing if you need additional stops or a different service pattern. Compare complete proposals rather than assuming the driver waits through the charter.

Confirm the return pickup time or contact process, waiting terms and what happens if the charter timing changes. A boat's advertised duration is not necessarily the exact time every guest will be ready beside the road.

Keep one organiser in contact

Give both teams the same lead contact and current schedule. If a guest is late at the hotel, inform the charter team before assuming departure will move. If the captain changes the return plan, update transport through the agreed channel.

Send guests a short message with hotel pickup, marina meeting instructions and the return arrangement. The what-to-bring guide can help keep belongings manageable. Clear coordination lets the yacht day feel like one coherent experience, even though the boat and car remain separately confirmed services.
