Tell the rental team about your pet before selecting a car. A vehicle being large enough for a carrier does not establish that pets are permitted, and permission for one booking should not be assumed for another. Ask for the applicable conditions in writing for the exact car and dates.
This article is a planning checklist, not a statement that every Pugachev vehicle accepts pets. Review the rental policies and explain your requirements when enquiring.
Describe the full travelling group
Include the type and size of pet, carrier dimensions, passenger count and luggage. A carrier that fits by itself may not fit safely with every suitcase and occupied seat. Ask how it can be accommodated without obstructing the driver or relying on an unsecured improvised position.
If you are travelling with a service animal, describe the relevant access requirement to the team rather than assuming the ordinary pet policy answers it. Obtain the booking-specific information you need through the appropriate channel.
| Before booking | Detail to confirm |
|---|---|
| Permission | Whether the animal can travel in this vehicle |
| Carrier or restraint | Required arrangement and compatibility with the car |
| Cleaning | Applicable standard and any stated fees |
| Interior protection | What protection is allowed and how it may be fitted |
| Pickup and return | How the animal and luggage will be handled during inspection |
Plan stops around the animal as well as the people
Choose destinations where the animal is allowed and where the whole group has a practical plan during meals or appointments. Do not build an outing around leaving an animal unattended in a parked car.
Allow time for breaks and keep water and other travel essentials accessible without unpacking the entire vehicle. Ask your veterinarian about any individual travel or health concerns; a rental-car guide cannot determine what is appropriate for a particular animal.
Avoid improvised interior changes
Do not attach equipment to trim, remove seats or alter the vehicle without approval. Ask which protective covers or carrier arrangements are suitable. An apparently harmless adhesive or strap can affect the interior, and the agreed setup should be clear before collection.
Record the cabin condition at pickup and return as you would on any rental. If there is a spill or other issue, contact the team for instructions rather than using an unapproved cleaning product on unfamiliar upholstery.
Send a useful enquiry
Provide dates, preferred vehicle, animal details, carrier measurements and the total bag load. Ask for the full quote, including any applicable cleaning or other conditions. Do not compare two proposals until you know that both permit the same arrangement.
The SUV collection is a starting point for checking space, not proof of pet acceptance. If the first choice is unsuitable, ask the team whether another available vehicle can meet the agreed requirements before changing the rest of your travel plans.
