Before embarkation. After the cruise.
Luxury Car Rental Before or After a PortMiami Cruise
Use your time on land for a Miami drive. Pugachev helps cruise travelers compare a luxury rental for the days before embarkation or after disembarkation, with the vehicle, luggage and handover arranged around the rest of the trip.
Dates, vehicle and delivery arrangements confirmed before booking.

Choose the rental window around the cruise
A car can be useful for a pre-cruise hotel stay or a few days in Miami after you return. First compare that plan with renting across the entire cruise: the vehicle would remain on land while rental time and any parking costs continue. PortMiami publishes current parking information for its cruise terminals. Check those arrangements before deciding whether keeping a rental during the sailing makes sense for your trip.
Confirm the terminal and an agreed meeting point
Send your ship name, cruise date, terminal if known, and the hotel where you will stay before or after sailing. PortMiami has multiple terminals, so the port name alone is not a complete pickup address. Vehicle access and handover arrangements must be agreed with Pugachev in advance. A port-side delivery is not guaranteed; the team may discuss another suitable meeting point. This is not an on-site PortMiami rental counter.
Allow for disembarkation and luggage collection
A ship's scheduled arrival is not the same as the time you will be ready with your bags. Choose a realistic handover window after the cruise line's disembarkation process, and keep the rental team informed if your timing changes. If you only need a ride from the terminal to a hotel or airport, compare the separate chauffeur service with self-drive rental before committing to a vehicle for the day.
Size the car for people and suitcases together
Cruise luggage can make a sports car impractical even for a small group. Share the number of passengers and the number and approximate size of your cases. Ask the team to confirm the configuration of the specific SUV or sedan, rather than assuming every vehicle in a category will fit. Include any child-seat request and the airport departure time if the rental ends with an onward flight.
Cars to consider for PortMiami
Explore these vehicles, then request availability and the full quote for your dates.
Cadillac Escalade ESV
A larger SUV to evaluate for a group arriving with cruise luggage.
Mercedes Benz G63 Black
An SUV alternative for a smaller party with a confirmed luggage fit.
Rolls-Royce Ghost Anthracite
A luxury sedan for a comfortable stay before or after sailing, subject to bag space.
Send the details that make your quote useful

- Hotel address and realistic time you will be ready
- Passenger count and suitcase sizes
- Flight details if you need an airport return plan
Confirm the complete rental terms
Ask for the total rental price, deposit, included mileage, delivery or collection charges, and the agreed return procedure. Driver eligibility and insurance must be checked for the actual booking. Review our rental policies before reserving.

PortMiami rental questions
Can I collect the car directly at a cruise terminal?
Ask the team to check the exact terminal and access conditions. Any handover must be confirmed in advance, and a different meeting location may be needed.
Do I need to keep the car for the days I am at sea?
Not necessarily. Request separate dates for your time in Miami and compare the full cost with keeping a vehicle parked during the cruise.
Can a rental car be left with a porter or terminal attendant?
No return arrangement should be assumed. Follow the handover instructions agreed with Pugachev; a porter or terminal attendant does not automatically complete your rental return.
